Ugene’s Maths Learning Story Rule of Maths: If it seems easy,you're doing it wrong Steven Adams has made 1320 baskets in his NBA career. He has made 60% of his shots. If he makes over ⅔ of his shots, he will get  a $2 million bonus. In order to meet his 67% target and receive his bonus, how many baskets will he need to make? This problem is all about Steven Adams NBA life and how many shots he made in his NBA life and if he can make over ⅔ of all his shots he has taken to get a $2 million bonus. We were trying to find how many shots he need to make to get his $2 million dollars bonus. 1320 = 60% 1320 2=660 660=30% 220=10% 220 4= 880 (1132 =10%) 4 = 528 How I work in a group I am good at sharing my ideas confidently so that my  group understands. Ugene 2017 Athletics learning story

Ugenes Athletic Story: Today I was exhausted, tired and sore. If you are still wondering what I am talking about, I am talking about 'Athletic Days’ My first activity was discus throw where I got bronze. I was good at cheering people on and using the right arm technique so I can throw the discus further. Something I liked was sprint's/long distances. At the end of the activity, I was sweating with tired legs. In sprints, I got silver and gold for long distances. I was good at not worrying if I was coming last I still persevered and kept on running. The activity I didn’t like was high jump I found it difficult to lift my leg and to jump high but the skill I used was to ignore any distractions happening and focusing on getting myself over the pole. My next steps are to use both my arm and leg movement so I can easily move my body to make it over the pole. The next activity was vortex, I got bronze. Ugene Maths Learning Story

Ugenes Maths Learning Story: In maths, we have been learning how to cooperate together and share our ideas with our math group. Maths Problem : Rico builds a string of beads using 3 colors, starting with white, black then red then repeating the pattern. The answer we were trying to figure out in this problem is ‘what the last colored bead?’ First I went 103 divided by 3. We then went 3 x 30 = 90 because we were trying to figure out the groups of 103, from our prior knowledge we knew there were 13 beads left over. We were trying to figure out how many groups of 3 are in 13. We then found out the answer to ‘how many groups of 3 are in 13 which was 4. The given answer was 4 and this is how we all worked together to solve a problem.
