Ugene's Library Book Learning Story

My library book is called: Wizard of Oz.It is a narrative. It is by Mauro Evangelista.
 
We were learning to make meaning from our library book and enjoy getting lost in the book.  


I am good at inferring ideas about my library book because, they do not post a lot of information about the characters. I work out that one of my character cared for other characters in the book. The caring character was Dorothy because she helped all of other character like tin man and lions and scarecrow.

I can use the pictures to give me a clue of the hard words when I get stuck and I can reread the text so it make sense when I read it.

Every Thursday’s Year 7 & 8’s  go to Brandon Intermediate with Natone Park School to find and pursue a passion we are yet to find. Ugene 2017 Athletics learning story

Ugenes Athletic Story: Today I was exhausted, tired and sore. If you are still wondering what I am talking about, I am talking about 'Athletic Days’ My first activity was discus throw where I got bronze. I was good at cheering people on and using the right arm technique so I can throw the discus further. Something I liked was sprint's/long distances. At the end of the activity, I was sweating with tired legs. In sprints, I got silver and gold for long distances. I was good at not worrying if I was coming last I still persevered and kept on running. The activity I didn’t like was high jump I found it difficult to lift my leg and to jump high but the skill I used was to ignore any distractions happening and focusing on getting myself over the pole. My next steps are to use both my arm and leg movement so I can easily move my body to make it over the pole. The next activity was vortex, I got bronze.
