Ugene and Jillian Earthquake Poem
The Day It Struck
Can’t run, can’t hide
Thinking of the things that might happen.
“Are yous alright” I ask
My dog was barking as loud as if he’s trying to tell us something.
The table was doing a crazy hula.
Stiff as a statue, Not knowing what to do.
Voices were saying…
“Kids come quick hurry, hurry” Mom said
The earthquakes finished but I’m too worried to sleep.
