Ugene’s Technology Learning Story


The best way to predict the future is to invent it


So according to my face technology is at Brandon Intermediate School and we always go on a Thursday afternoon. We do same cool stuff like art,music,hard materials and soft materials. My personal favourite is cooking. It not just out school that goes. All schools go in the Porirua area.

Success Criteria:

Focus on what you are doing
Follow instructions
Follow the plan
Listen to instructions
Stay with your group
Plan before you make
Share ideas
Create a product
Be safe and careful
Talking about what to do
Measuring accurately
Make improvements to your product


I am good at following instructions when the teacher tells us to do something in the class so we can complete the task that the teacher has given us.
I got better at asking for help when I need it and not when I don’t need it because when I don’t need it I ask for it I ’m just being lazy.
It was hard for me to plan before I make it because I just want to do the fun part but it’s better to plan before you make it so you know what to do
I need to work on focus on what I'm doing and not what my friends are doing so I can get my work done and dusted.

You are good at explaining what you do at technology in a way so that the reader would want to read more. You need to work on checking your spelling and re-reading so that your writing can make sense but other than that your great.

Every Thursday’s Year 7 & 8’s  go to Brandon Intermediate with Natone Park School to find and pursue a passion we are yet to find. At tech we learn about Art, Hard Materials, Sewing, Cooking and Music. In Term 1, I was in Music. Every week we did a music quiz which helped us recognize different songs. Ugene 2017 Athletics learning story

Ugenes Athletic Story: Today I was exhausted, tired and sore. If you are still wondering what I am talking about, I am talking about 'Athletic Days’ My first activity was discus throw where I got bronze. I was good at cheering people on and using the right arm technique so I can throw the discus further. Something I liked was sprint's/long distances. At the end of the activity, I was sweating with tired legs. In sprints, I got silver and gold for long distances. I was good at not worrying if I was coming last I still persevered and kept on running. The activity I didn’t like was high jump I found it difficult to lift my leg and to jump high but the skill I used was to ignore any distractions happening and focusing on getting myself over the pole. My next steps are to use both my arm and leg movement so I can easily move my body to make it over the pole. The next activity was vortex, I got bronze.
