Ugene’s Technology Learning Story



In Term 1 I was in Art. We were learning how to use clay to make different types of shapes/objects. We got to play around with clay and use different materials to mold the clay into different shapes. It was fun experimenting and playing around.

I was good at:
Working with the clay
Using different art materials
Following instructions


So we are still in Term 1 but we are in our next technology group which is hard materials and we had a choice to make a box or a puzzle or wood carving and we chose... Can u guess…?  a box.

I was good at:
Being safe and careful. 
Following instructions.
Talking about what to do.

But even though it still Term 1 I think I will enjoy it  as much as I did last year because we get to learn more skills and how much we know about it already. We can also show off our learning smarts out of school.




Jillian’s feedback: Your good at picking up the new things we do every thursday because whenever we something new you’ve got it in like a few minutes. I think you need to work on getting more projects done because its an important part of learning at tech.

Every Thursday’s Year 7 & 8’s  go to Brandon Intermediate with Natone Park School to find and pursue a passion we are yet to find. Ugene 2017 Athletics learning story

Ugenes Athletic Story: Today I was exhausted, tired and sore. If you are still wondering what I am talking about, I am talking about 'Athletic Days’ My first activity was discus throw where I got bronze. I was good at cheering people on and using the right arm technique so I can throw the discus further. Something I liked was sprint's/long distances. At the end of the activity, I was sweating with tired legs. In sprints, I got silver and gold for long distances. I was good at not worrying if I was coming last I still persevered and kept on running. The activity I didn’t like was high jump I found it difficult to lift my leg and to jump high but the skill I used was to ignore any distractions happening and focusing on getting myself over the pole. My next steps are to use both my arm and leg movement so I can easily move my body to make it over the pole. The next activity was vortex, I got bronze.
