Ugene Polyfest Learning Story
Polyfest Learning Story
At Corinna school we have been practicing and preparing ourselves for Polyfest. During the practices I was good at giving the little kids instructions on what to do. Another thing I was good at was listening to what my tutor says and always not getting distracted by others.
At first I felt nervous performing in front of most people I know but overtime I grew confident. I was good at stepping out of my comfort zone and showing my ‘love’ for my culture.
Thursday the 10th was the day we made our way down to Hosanna Church ready to perform in front of our families. My family noticed my big actions/ joyful smiles. I could see my parents crying tears of joy.
My next steps is to be more confident and to step out of my comfort zone which means singing louder.
I would to thank all my tutors for teaching the dances/songs for also taking their precious time to create our costumes. They are one of the reasons why we shone on stage because they helped us to succeed stepping out of our comfort zones.
