Ugene’s Reading Report Back The name of my library book is called The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Written by Jeff Kinney It’s purpose is to interest and entertain the reader by using verbs. “You know, I should have just stuck with my original plan and stayed inside this summer, because all my trouble started the minute I stepped out of the house. Ugene's Cook Island Language Learning Story  Tatou katoatoa e tou kia orana tatou atu  So when we learn Cook Island Maori at Corinna School, we all go to a certain place at a certain time so if you were in Cook Island with Abby you will go at 1:50pm and if you are in Samoan with Sia you would go around 2:20pm and stay there for an hour and 30 minutes. It’s the same go for the  Cook Island students. We are so lucky to have people in our community who take their own time of the day to come teach us. Ugene’s Dance Learning Story  Term 3 The Sassy Charleston. So according to my facts James P. Johnson was the one that invented The Charleston and it was brought in to the world in the 1920’s. The Moves. So the moves are similar to the dance we call the shuffle because you have to keep moving your feet and in The Charleston and it is mostly about your leg movement. Is the Charleston jazz ? Did you know The Charleston is jazz. It was used to accompany The Charleston dance. Cecil Mack was the man that wrote the lyrics and James P. Johnson was the first man to introduced the stride piano method of playing. What do people wear for Charleston? Ugene's Swimming Learning Story So you are here to hear about my swimming journey (more like less). I will get started. So for the first day, I was not swimming but I was like swimming is so important because New Zealand has a lot of water around it. To be real with you at first I was not looking forward to swimming. The thing I was confident with was trending water because when I’m with my family we always go to the deep end and my mum and dad will always start to trend the water so I can breathe and not drown. My teacher was not only Abby but also my mum and dad. As you can tell from the last paragraph I also love the boat safety because my mum and dad are thinking of buying a boat and I know how to be safe on a boat. Ugene  Fritz’s Workshop Reflection Describe the workshop. What was the purpose of  the workshop?  In Fritz’s workshop we were having heaps of fun. We done activities like running and sports. What learning did you do in the workshop. Skills? Qualities? Competencies? The skills I learned was to work together because you can't do everything by yourself and it’s good to have help once in a while. How will this learning help you in the future?  Explain and justify. Ugene’s Technology Learning Story The best way to predict the future is to invent it So according to my face technology is at Brandon Intermediate School and we always go on a Thursday afternoon. We do same cool stuff like art,music,hard materials and soft materials. My personal favourite is cooking. It not just out school that goes. All schools go in the Porirua area. Ugene's P.E Learning Story. In P.E we have been learning how to work together as a group and share our ideas with each other. One of my main goals was to be able to communicate my ideas with my group. At first I found it difficult but I then got used to working in a group. In Dodgeball I was good at sharing the ball with Jillian (My teammate) and giving her good advice on how to to throw the ball. I think I improved at throwing the ball because I was able to get people out when I threw that ball. So in long ball we have been learning how to throw the ball to our team mate so we can get the other team out so my team can bat the ball and get a score of 22 which is my team high score in longball. Ugene’s Technology Learning Story In Term 1 I was in Art. We were learning how to use clay to make different types of shapes/objects. We got to play around with clay and use different materials to mold the clay into different shapes. It was fun experimenting and playing around. Ugene’s Art Learning story  In my classroom we have been learning about how to create a surrealist piece of art. Surrealist art is where you draw visions of your dreams and make it real and who you like it. So it  been like 8 or 9  weeks of doing  surrealist art in Aroha Tuakana 11 and 10 and I sort of enjoyed it but the thing I don’t like  is that it have to make it look real and not fake. I located information so I found out that the dad was going to get milk but then he got lost in this other dimension. I inferred an idea so I found out that he must have went somewhere else instead of the right place to get milk because he got lost while go to the dairy. I evaluate so I think that he should of taken the car so he can be fast  going to the shop because he wouldn’t get lost while going to the shop and he would be fast. I analysed and synthesised so I thought about the ideas in the text and came up with my own new it is about the dad going to the diry to buy milk so the kids can have breakfast and he can have tea.

Life as Ugene So it all began one day after Anzac Day 26/04/06. The day my parents life changed forever and also the day a chubby king was born (me,myself and I). So obviously this story is about me and my life. So my full name is Ugene Rangi Ford Tamatoa-Clarke. So Ugene comes from my dad’s uncle (Uncle Ugene) obviously. I’m one of 7 annoying siblings. I'm a pretty talented young lad with a lot of great gifts like eating, sleeping and you know the everyday routine JOKES!! (Not Really).
